If Chaco’s fit your feet- these are great shoes. Not too much arch. The kind that have the strap in the back and the strap over the toe are the best – but these are good to hang out in. You do have to adjust them – they don’t just slip on.

  2. I own 2 pair of Chaco’s… one with the toe loop and these. Nothing is wrong with either shoe – they are durable and well made. My foot however doesn’t seem to like the footbed on them and I can’t wear them for long periods of time or my arches hurt and they rub. I don’t have that problem with Teva’s. I have a medium arch I guess… not high, but I guess it’s not enough to be comfortable in these shoes.

These sandals are great. I’m in college so I do A LOT of walking and when I wear other sandals my feet are killing me by the end of the day, but with these shoes I can walk around all day without any pain and they’re super durable. I have wide feet and the staps on these shoes are super adjustable (it’s actually all one strap) so you can make them custom-fit. I also have really high arches so even shoes that have some arch support don’t do anything for me, but the arch support in these shoes are perfect. They aren’t slip-ons, you do have to situate your foot in them, but they’re really secure once you have them on. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I first got them they took some getting used to (I think my feet weren’t use to all that arch support)so they were a little uncomfortable for the first few days, but now that I have them adjusted right and broken in they’re the most comfortable shoes I own.

  4. I saw great reviews on this sandal and Chaco in general, and I wanted a supportive sandal I could slip on while knocking about in my sweats or nightgown while at home. With these sandals, you have to sit or bend down and adjust the straps over your foot every time. I was looking for a slip-on, but this is not it. If you don’t mind the adjusting every time, go for it. But if anyone is looking for a comfortable supportive slip-on, I would recommend Dansko professional clogs (originally for operating room use).

  5. I got this sandal to walk around Disney World – as an alternate to wearing sneakers all day. It’s ok. It’s supportive, but I wish I had gone for sandals where the strap went over the big toe -either the thong version or the toe strap, just to keep it on my foot easier. I was able to adjust the right foot straps to be comfortable, but was never able to get the left foot straps just right. They slipped on ok, but weren’t easy slips on – I had to adjust the straps when putting them on.

The arch support is great and my feet didn’t hurt like they would if I had worn normal flip flops. I’d buy Chacos again, but with something on the toe to keep it on my foot better.
